Arts Week
Arts Week showcases the work of the College’s talented Visual Arts students, who produce work in both two and three dimensional
forms. Paintings, drawings, print making, ceramics, photography, graphic design and textile works display the excellent
standards of design, creativity and craftsmanship.
The formal opening for Arts Week 2013 will be held in the College Hall at 6pm, Tuesday 17 September and will continue the
tradition of showcasing outstanding student work. For art lovers, students and those keen to see the work of the students,
Arts week has established itself as an event not to be missed.
The College is proud of its achievements outside the regular classroom. Year 11 students recently worked as part of an
international project that was aimed at promoting tolerance and understanding across major religions. The girls work was
presented at the Jewish Museum. The bringing together of artists from Islamic, Jewish, Christian and Indigenous traditions
was a powerful event.
PCW is proud of its tradition as a school of excellence in the Arts. In recent years students have won formal recognition
for their VCE work, which has been displayed in the Top Arts and Top Designs exhibition.
