School Productions

PCW has a fine tradition of theatrical productions that cover a variety of genres and styles. In recent times, the College has produced shows such as Small Poppies, Oliver, Little Shop of Horrors, The Servant of Two Masters, Fiddler on the Roof and The Wizard of Oz.

Productions are a team effort involving hundreds of students and staff. All contribute in a myriad of ways, which include assisting with set painting, technical lighting, make up and costume. All students are invited to audition for the annual production. VCE Theatre Studies is a most vibrant subject at PCW and each year we are invited to a production designed and performed by students as part of the formal coursework.

The Drama and Musical Faculties lead all theatrical and musical elements, with specialist teachers working closely with the cast to develop key aspects of performance involving stagecraft techniques. The annual production is definitely one of the PCW event highlights during the year bringing a sense of fun, adventure and camaraderie that comes with a large scale project.
