Learning Technology

PCW has computer facilities and other learning resources that are extensively used for academic and administrative purposes.

We have four main computer labs for the students: 3 general purpose labs with over 90 PC’s available and a 15 PC Lab in the Science & Technology centre. Our library has 14 computers for students and teaching staff. In addition, each classroom has at least one computer or a pod of 5-6 PCs. Laptop trolleys with 20 lap tops on each, exclusively for student use, are also available for class or individual bookings – designed with portability in mind and taking learning outside the classroom.

All computers are interconnected with access to the internet.

The following computer and network services are available to all students:

• Internet & Email
• Centralised file and printer sharing
• Video Streaming to all classrooms
• Intranet portal and online learning tools

The school provides Audio Visual equipment and services. There are two electronic whiteboards connected to computers and over head projectors, with 2 further classrooms set up with PCs and projectors.
