Overseas Tours

Supporting PCW’s commitment to global education, students are given the opportunity to participate in overseas Cultural Study Tours to countries in Asia and Europe including Vietnam, Japan, India and Italy.

The school LOTE trips include biennial tours to Japan and Italy enabling our students to extend their knowledge of the language and personally experience the lifestyle and culture.

Overseas Tours

The Japan tour involves homestay and attendance at our sister school Immaculate Heart College, Kagoshima. This enables students to extend and accelerate their knowledge of Japanese as well as allowing them to witness the lifestyle and culture of Japan. The Italian tour, in conjunction with CBC, allows students to practise the language and immerse themselves within the culture. In subsequent years the Partner program set up within Italy will allow for student exchanges both to and from Italy.

In the alternate years trips to Vietnam compliment the PCW Social Justice program. Students play an active role in meeting young Vietnamese people who often belong to marginalised groups in that society and also support an ethnic minority school in Hai Dong province, north of Hanoi.

Since 2006 PCW has been involved with World Challenge Expedition. The first expedition included trekking and an immersion program Cambodia and Thailand. The 2008 World Challenge group headed to India and their expedition included a community based project with one of the Presentation Sisters centres near Delhi.

In recent years we have also had a number of students participate in Exchange Programs to overseas destinations including Italy, France and Spain. Such adventures underpin the contemporary learning experiences offered within the College.
