Year 10

Year 10 The Year 10 Learning Agenda ensures that students have developed a confidence in their capacity to direct their future learning as they are provided with greater subject choice in their transition into post secondary education. Throughout Terms 2 and 3 a Pathways Program operates in conjunction with timetabled curriculum to ensure that students are able to make guided and informed decisions about their future pathways.

Students are required to study the core subjects and also have the opportunity of choosing a selection of five subjects from the elective areas of LOTE, Arts, Humanities, Communication & Technology, Health and Physical Education, Science and VET.

In addition to their Core & Elective studies students have the opportunity to study areas pertaining to life skills and qualifications. These studies are at PCW or may include a VET study provided for though the IMVC (Inner Melbourne vet Cluster) on a Wednesday afternoon.

The program also includes the Year 10s travelling to our nation’s Capital for the annual Year 10 Canberra Trip, visiting the major landmarks and seeing Canberra in action as a part of the Civics and Citizenships Program.
