Year 9 Eachtra Program
In Year 9 students participate in the Eachtra Program (meaning Adventure). The program recognises the transition from middle to senior school as a significant stage in a young person's development. It seeks to augment the more complex classroom learning with a range of learning activities and opportunites that respond to different learning styles. Eachtra consists of four adventures during the year. Download the brochure and contact the school to find out more information regarding the program.
During Year 9 students will extend their
learning through integrated projects including an Outdoor-Education Camp that complements the student study of PPS in
partnership with Richmond Football Club, Year 9 Study Program – developing the academic self, Looking In-Looking Out –
focusing on the both inner person and the global citizen.
The Year 9 Learning Agenda at PCW ensures students have the opportunity to select a variety of subjects from the key learning
areas that enable our students to build on their particular learning strengths and ensures the relevance of learning in today’s
world.
To ensure exposure to a broad curriculum students are required to study the core subjects and also have the opportunity of
choosing a selection of six subjects from the elective areas of Arts, Humanities and Communication & Technology, in addition to
