The talented Technology Staff delivers contemporary Technology in a variety of subjects.

Food Technology

Junior students are engaged in learning the nutritional, cultural and social value of food, as well as the importance of kitchen safety. To extend their skills, Year 8 Students may choose the Elective Mini Masters Course, Master Chef.

Linking to our multi-cultural School Community and beyond, Year 10 students learn to appreciate and produce various authentic dishes, later sold in a school ‘street food’ experience.

Information and Communication Technology

Year 9 Students enthusiastically create their own fashion website, and design a magazine cover for their target audience. Competent use of professional software programs is integral to this process.

Product Design and Technology—Textiles

Students engage in the design process to create individual items. Original, hand-sewn soft toys are joyfully created by Year 7s. Year 8 Students explore the magic of screen-printing and begin to use the sewing machine. For the first time, girls in Year 9 enjoy the thrill of creating garments, whilst Senior Students extend their imaginations and skills to grasp new challenges, including entering competitions. Outstanding work has featured in Top Designs and excellent student work has been celebrated at the College Art Show, which includes a student-curated Fashion Parade.
